ISRAEL'S Zim
Integrated Shipping Services Ltd has announced that Eli
Glickman has taken the helm from Rafi Danieli, who had served as
president and CEO of the shipping line since 2009.
Mr
Glickman, 56, who served as CEO of the Israel Electric Corpo
from 2011 to 2015, officially took office on July 1, according to a
statement.
The
new president of the shipping line also served as deputy CEO of Partner Orange
Communication and previously managed Partner Orange's customer division. Mr
Glickman also served as CEO of logistics company Exel MPL from 2003 to 2005,
the American Shipper reported.
"I
want to thank Rafi Danieli, who has steered Zim through rough seas," Mr
Glickman said. "As CEO, my primary goal is to continue this positive
momentum and lead Zim to greater heights."
Zim
serves ports of call in over 120 countries across the globe and has 4,200
employees. In 2016, the carrier transported 2.43 million TEU and had an annual
turnover of US$2.54 billion.
