THE Carex International Shipping Company has added a call at the Port of New York on to its shared container service to Germany.
Carex specialises in moving cars, motorcycles, boats, trucks, motor homes, equipment and cargo via container shipping and roll-on roll-off.
"This shipping option provides consumers with an affordable method for shipping items like cars, trucks, boats, SUVs, jet skis, and motorcycles to Germany," a company statement said.
"The route from New York to Germany has always been a popular one," said Mike Sekirin, of Carex Shipping. "We are proud to add this new route to what we offer. We know the need is there, and we have the experience and skills to meet it."
The shared container service option allows consumers to pay for only the space they use within the container, rather than having to pay for a whole container. Any vehicle that fits into the ocean container is allowed. This
option helps keep shipping prices more affordable.
By using a New York port, consumers will also experience a transit time of about two weeks, with a route across the Atlantic Ocean. The destination port in Germany is Bremerhaven.
"We are already having a positive response to our addition of the new route," said Mr Sekirin. "This option makes shipping from the US to Germany accessible and affordable. It's a win-win situation."
Carex Shipping also ships from other ports, including from Los Angeles, Savannah, Houston, Miami, Baltimore to worldwide destinations such as Europe, Australia, Africa, Middle East, and Asia.
