SWISS WorldCargo restructures top management at its Zurich office with its head of flight optimisation Omar Bragatto to move to head of contribution management, reporting to transport management managing director Ashwin Bhat.
In this new position Mr Bragatto replaces Christian Wyss, who becomes head of cargo procurement and reports to Oliver Evans, chief cargo officer SWISS.
Oliver Evans, CCO at SWISS said of the appointments in a company statement: "Omar and Christian have both achieved great success in their previous roles at Swiss WorldCargo.
The wealth of experience that they bring to their new positions will help us to further enhance our highest standards in Swiss WorldCargo Swiss International Air Lines Ltd operational and commercial processes and to deliver the best performance possible in these challenging times."
On the product management side, Bernd Foerster is appointed product manager for Swiss Mail succeeding Laurent Ruch, who has taken up a new challenge with another company. In his new role, Mr Foerster reports to Bernd Maresch, director of marketing& strategy.
Mr Bragatto's move follows five years at Swiss WorldCargo where the 31-year-old executive moved from Flight Optimisation Manager Africa and Asia before promotion to head up the whole department. He holds a diploma of manager freight forwarding and logistics.
Mr Wyss' exit from Swiss air follows a lengthy career began 20 years ago as an apprentice, and at Swiss WorldCargo since it was founded in 2002, where he has gained significant strategic insight and experience across a number of business areas.
Mr Foerster, a 29 year old of German national, worked as a business consultant for KPMG Advisory in Munich after he took his MBA at Ohio University. Director of marketing and strategy Bernd Maresch said "Mr Foerster will continue his predecessors' goal to enhance our proposition and ensure that our strong operational performance continues to best serve our mail customers throughout our global network."
