A UK-based company, Neptune Maritime Security, led by ex-Royal Marine Special Boat Service commandos, is offering trained fighting men to serve on ships menaced by pirates.

The firm claimed to be "uniquely capable of recruiting and fielding the most capable maritime security specialists. Each specialist is hand picked for their experience, professionalism, versatility, cultural sensitivity and ability to deal with multiple shifting objectives under duress if required," said the statement.
