KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL),
soon to be part of China Cosco Group, has announced a new Mideast, Pakistan/India, West
Med service (WM3) to be launched in March.
The WM3 port rotation will be Khor Al Fakkan, Jebel Ali,
Karachi, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Jeddah - SUEZ, Malta, La Spezia, Genoa,
Barcelona, Valencia, Tangier, Fos, Genoa, Malta, Damietta, Suez, Jeddah and
back to Khor Al Fakkan.
This will be an extention of OOCL's Mediterranean service
network to the Middle East and Indian subcontinent by introducing our new
Middle East, Pakistan-India, West Mediterranean Service from March 1.
The WM3 provides direct linkage between the Middle East,
Pakistan, India, Italy, Spain, France and Egypt, offering more competitive and
reliable services than transshipment options, the company said, adding that it
would be the fastest transit time to the western Mediterranean, particularly,
the Italian market.
"In addition, the strategic hubs in Khor Al Fakkan
and Jebel Ali will allow us to further connect our services to various OOCL
networks in the region, thus offering exceptional flexibility and more shipping
options to our customers," OOCL said.
Westbound effective voyage: Ningbo Express, Voyage 809W,
ETA Khor Al Fakkan on March 1. Eastbound effective voyage: Ningbo Express,
Voyage 809E, ETA Barcelona on March 26.
