THE stricken car carrier Hoegh Osaka, that was
deliberately grounded earlier this month on Brambles Bank after it developed a
48-degree starboard list, was to be towed into the Port of Southampton,
according to the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
The 51,000-ton ship has been largely righted, but still
had a five degree list. The coastguard said the ship will be moved from the
Alpha Anchorage in the Solent at 3:45pm and is expected to arrive at Berth 101
in Southampton at 9pm.
