"GRAND Alliance" (G.A) partners, Hong Kong's OOCL, Hapag-Lloyd and NYK, have announced their reduced winter service offering on the Asia-Europe route starting December 28.
Four of the Grand Alliance's Asia-Europe services, EU1, EU2, EU3, and EU4, will be turned into three weekly services and renamed Loop A, Loop B and Loop C with changes to ensure network continuation while cutting capacity to match reduced seasonal demand.
The rotation for "Loop A" will be Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Shimizu, Shenzhen (Yantian), Hong Kong, Singapore, Jeddah, Suez Canal, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Southampton, Le Havre, Suez Canal, Singapore, Hong Kong, Yantian and Kobe.
There will be nine vessels with a capacity of about 8,600 TEU each on Loop A. Loading starts Monday December 28 in Kobe.
The rotation for "Loop B" will be Dalian, Xingang, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen (Shekou), Singapore, Suez Canal, Hamburg, Antwerp, Southampton, Cagliari, Suez Canal, Jeddah, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Shekou, Qingdao, Busan and Dalian.
There will be 12 vessels with a capacity of 8,300 TEU each on Loop B. Loading starts Sunday January 2 in Dalian.
The rotation for "Loop C" will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Shenzhen (Shekou), Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Suez Canal, Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Southampton, Suez Canal, Singapore, Shekou, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung and Ningbo.
There will be 10 vessels of 7,860 TEU on Loop C. Loading starts Saturday January 1 in Ningbo.
