FRENCH shipping giant
CMA CGM has
announced its new WAZZAN weekly service that will join Morocco to north west
Africa and improve intra African coverage.
The service
will start with the sailing of the 1,107-TEU Delmas Swala, the first of
three-same size ships, on June 6 from Casablanca to Algeciras, Tangiers,
Nouakchott, Dakar, Nouadhibou, Las Palmas and back to
Casablanca.
CMA CGM will
also shorten transit times between Mauritania, Senegal and Morocco by eight
days. The previous transshipment calls being replaced by direct ones.
WAZZAN will
also introduce a direct call from north west Africa and to Morocco and to the
Spanish islands of Las Palmas of its coast.
It will also
develop reefer service to Nouadhibou, Mauritania, allowing fish exports to
intra-African and worldwide markets.
