Bisnis.com, JAKARTA-- Jumlah badan usaha milik negara (BUMN) berkurang 20 perusahaan menjadi hanya 119 BUMN dari sebelumnya 139 BUMN pada akhir 2013. Bagaimana ceritanya?

Menteri BUMN Rini Mariani Soemarno memaparkan dalam rapat kerja dengan Komisi VI DPR, Senin (19/1/2015) alasan penyusutan jumlah BUMN hingga akhir 2014.

Menurutnya, jumlah perusahaan BUMN per 31 Desember 2014 mencapai 119 BUMN atau berkurang 20 BUMN dibandingkan akhir tahun sebelumnya.

Tercatat, dua BUMN berubah status badan hukum menjadi BPJS yakni PT Askes dan PT Jamsostek.

Kemudian, sebanyak 14 BUMN perkebunan bergabung menajadi satu holding perkebunan di bawah PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero), sehingga jumlah BUMN perkebunan berkurang 13 BUMN.

Terakhir, sebanyak enam BUMN kehutanan juga bergabung menjadi satu holding BUMN kehutanan. Sehingga, jumlah BUMN kehutanan berkurang 5 BUMN.

Dari total 119 BUMN, sebanyak 20 BUMN merupakan emiten yang telah tercatat di pasar modal. Sedangkan 85 BUMN tidak tercatat sebagai emiten di PT Bursa Efek Indonesia.

Adapun sebanyak 14 BUMN tergolong ke dalam perusahaan umum (Perum). Sedangkan kepemilikan saham minoritas oleh pemerintah terdapat pada 25 perusahaan hingga akhir Desember 2014.

[180115.EN.SEA] Maersk Turns Container Into a Library For 900 Students in Vietnam

DENMARK's shipping giant, Maersk, has donated in coordination with the Dariu Foundation (TDF) a library converted from a 40-foot container to the Long Binh Dien Secondary School in Cho Gao District, Tien Giang province in Vietnam at cost of VND250 million (US$11,717).

Its first library to support the studies of school children in the Mekong Delta is stocked with a thousand books donated by Maersk staff that include school books, dictionaries, as well as books on science and literature.

A further six computers have been donated for the students' use.

The opening ceremony of this special container library was held on January 10 at the Long Binh Dien Secondary School.

The shipping company in Vietnam has pledged another VND12 million to a scholarship programme for the students at the school. The sum will be shared among 70 outstanding pupils to cover their second semester tuition fee.

"This is the first time that we have worked together with The Dariu Foundation to transform a container into a special container library for use by Vietnamese pupils. This project was highly welcomed by all of our staff who donated over one thousand book," said sales general manager Nguyen Giang.

The Dariu Foundation is a Swiss-based non-governmental organisation working in Vietnam since 2003, with activities focusing on microfinance, scholarships for poor students, funding to build kindergartens and provide computer skills training and financial education via mobile schools.

TEMPO.CO, Houston - Penurunan harga minyak dunia mulai membawa dampak buruk di sektor tenaga kerja. Karena pendapatannya merosot, operator ladang minyak melakukan pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) terhadap sebagian karyawannya. (Baca juga: Harga BBM, Menteri Sofyan: Jumat ada Kabar Baik.)

Ini yang dilakukan oleh Schlumberger, perusahaan minyak yang bermarkas di Houston, Texas, Amerika Serikat. Kabar yang dilansir Business Insider menyebutkan Schlumberger akan merumahkan 8 persen atau sebanyak 9 ribu karyawannya.

Manajemen Schlumberger menyatakan hal ini dilakukan sebagai respons atas penurunan harga minyak. "Serta mengantisipasi rendahnya kegiatan eksplorasi pada 2015," demikian pernyataan yang dirilis pada Kamis, 15 Januari 2015, waktu setempat. Schlumberger adalah penyedia peralatan dan jasa untuk eksplorasi dan eksploitasi minyak dan gas terbesar di dunia. Perusahaan yang didirikan di Prancis pada 1926 ini mempekerjakan sekitar 126 ribu karyawan dan beroperasi di 85 negara.

Namun dalam satu semester terakhir pendapatan dan harga saham Schlumberger merosot hingga 30 persen akibat penurunan harga minyak dunia. Saat ini Schlumberger menyatakan nilai earnings per share (EPS) atau pendapatan per lembar saham mencapai US$ 1,5, dan total penerimaan perusahaan sebesar US$ 12,6 miliar. Jika dibandingkan dengan tahun sebelumnya, nilai EPS naik 11 persen dan penerimaan perusahaan meningkat 6 persen.

VANCOUVER harbour truckers have threatened to strike, accusing the British Columbia provincial government of unilaterally including new rules on rates charges and on minimum age of acceptable vehicles in legislation that breaks a 14-point deal that ended the truck strike last March.

"Truckers went back to work based on an agreement signed off by the premier and the federal minister's office," said Unifor union president Jerry Dias.

"If the government won't uphold that deal, then we are not obligated to follow it either," said Mr Dias.

Some 600 truckers are unhappy with the changes unilaterally made to the Joint Action Plan, which in its original form, ended the strike, reports Newark's Journal of Commerce.

Unifor, which represents 400 of the 600 protesting drivers, said it was finalising plans for a strike in anticipation of Transport Minister Ted Stone's expected refusal to drop the terms and conditions added to the original deal.

As Port Metro Vancouver is only directly involved in the licensing programme and reservation system set forth in the Joint Action Plan, the port deferred responses to drivers' complaints to the provincial government.

One issue is the ability of the truckers to set their own rates when government wants to "establish a rate structure that ensures truckers are paid fairly for their work". Drivers what to charge what, when and where they like.

Under normal circumstances, 95 per cent of Vancouver's throughput is Canada bound, but the strike threat comes when the port is being used by a growing number of US shippers to avoid congestion in American west coast ports during a period of labour strife.

The port stated that its American cargo accounts for about two per cent of total US west coast cargo.

[170115.ID.BIZ] Harga Minyak Anjlok: Perusahaan Di Inggris Diminta Naikkan Upah

Bisnis.com, LONDON – Perusahaan-perusahaan Inggris diminta untuk menaikkan upah pekerjanya, terutama untuk sektor usaha yang mendapatkan keuntungan dari jatuhnya harga minyak dunia.

Tapi, kenaikan upah dianggap tidak akan mensejahterakan pekerja selama tarif listrik masih tinggi.

David Cameron, Perdana Menteri Inggris, mengatakan perusahaan-perusahaan yang mendapatkan keuntungan lebih dari jatuhnya harga minyak dunia sebaiknya membagi laba mereka untuk pekerja dengan menaikkan upahnya.

“Ini seperti momentum untuk perusahaan-perusahaan lebih produktif lagi dengan menaikkan upah pekerja,” ujarnya seperti dilansir Reuters, Sabtu (17/1/2015).

Di sisi lain, momentum kejatuhan harga minyak dunia juga dimanfaatkan partai konservatif, di mana Cameron bernaung untuk  melakukan kampanye terselubung menjelang pemilu Mei nanti.

Partai Konservatif yang berkuasa saat ini di Inggris pun memanfaatkan jatuhnya harga minyak  dengan menurunkan harga Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM), Kebutuhan Pokok, dan rencana teranyar mengajak perusahaan di  Inggris untuk menaikkan upah pekerja.

Aksi partai Konservatif itu dilakukan untuk terus menjadi mayoritas dibandingkan dengan partai dari kalangan buruh.

Partai Buruh yang menjadi oposisi terkuat Partai Konservatif menyatakan momentum kejatuhan harga minyak saat ini tidak membuat nasib buruh lebih baik.

Bahkan, kondisi buruh saat ini masih lebih buruk dibandingkan dengan lima tahun silam karena tarif listrik yang tinggi.

Sebelumnya, Partai Buruh mengajukan regulator energi Inggris agar memiliki kekuatan untuk meminta perusahaan listrik menurunkan harga saat harga komoditas energi seperti minyak sedang di titik rendah.

Tapi, sayangnya permintaan itu ditolak parlemen Inggris.

SHIPPING company Marfret has warned in a newsletter that with "chronic over-capacity" the return to the market of the vessels that have been absorbed by slow steaming would have a "disastrous effect on freight and charter rates."

The warning comes as the market experiences a sharp drop in oil prices, the benefits of which may be wiped out as shipping lines "continue steaming slow, or steaming faster, accepting the costs of laying up big, perhaps very big ships", said Dynaliners.

"Consequently, for some the choice between the devil and the deep blue sea may have arrived," said Netherlands-based Dynaliners.

"Moreover, on the operational side, this would mean renegotiating terminal slots with port operators," Dynaliners said.

"If the situation were to continue, the economies of scale warranted to absorb the effects of higher oil prices may well have a detrimental effect after having contributed to reducing freight levels."

It highlighted that "at the present bunker prices - Rotterdam US$239/tonne 380 Cst - the tipping point at which the up to four (in a North Europe-Far East sling) extra ships can no longer be financed from fuel savings will meanwhile have been reached with reduced revenue from BAFs further contributing to this."

Dynamar continued: "Although carriers have so far firmly maintained that they have every intention to continue slow steaming as is, some nervousness seems to be emerging on the seemingly never-ending decline of oil prices and therewith fuel prices."

Complicating the decision making for shipping companies are "sometimes irreversible, modifications to ships," including antifouling, fuel injection pump modifications, and changing the stem bulb or propeller blades.

"Given that the technical specifications of ships on order have factored-in the long-term use of slow steaming and shipowners have carried out irreversible technical modifications on ships in service, there's no going backwards for the time being."

[160115.ID.BIZ] 10 BUMN Ini Belum Tindak Lanjut Sepenuhnya Temuan BPK

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA - Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan (BPK) mengumumkan sebanyak 10 perusahaan milik negara belum menyelesaikan sepenuhnya rekomendasi dari BPK.

Anggota BPK Achsanul Qosasi mengatakan penyelesaian rekomendasi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan itu masih di bawah 50%.

Perusahaan itu antara lain PT Merpati (penyelesaian 13,43%), PT Pelindo II (39,71%), Perum Perumnas (45,83%), PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (12,5%), PT Indofarma (48,31%), PT Industri Kapal Indonesia (38,1%), Perum Perikanan Indonesia (34,62%), PT Balai Pustaka (8,7%) dan Perum Produksi Film Negara (32,43%) dan PT Kawasan Industri Makassar (46,67%).

Seperti diketahui, BPK juga telah menemui Kementerian BUMN dan para direksi BUMN untuk membahas temuan dari lembaga pemeriksa keuangan tersebut pada Kamis (8/1/2015). Setelah 9 hari atau pada Jumat  (16/1), BPK membahas tindaklanjut dari temuan itu.

“Dalam program ini, selama 9 hari, BPK telah berhasil menyelesaikan 1.739 rekomendasi. Sehingga secara total telah ditindaklanjuti 10.508 temua dari 11.018 temuan atau 95,3%, sisanya dalam proses penyelesaian,” katanya di Kementerian BUMN, Jumat (16/1/2015).

Sementara itu, sektor yang telah menindaklanjuti rekomendasi dengan penyelesaian mendekati 100% antara lain industri perbankan dan jasa keuangan (91,87%), industri kebun dan kehutanan (78,02%) dan industri karya-infrastruktur (75,98%).

“Dalam pemeriksaan ke depan BPK akan memfokuskan pada pemeriksaan kinerja sehingga produk BPK bukan hanya berpendapat terhadap kebenaran akuntansi, tapi lebih pada program efektifitas dan efisiensi keuangan negara di BUMN,” katanya.
