[290120.EN.SEA] 2019 OOCL up 3.8pc to 6.95m TEU, While Q4 up 4.8pc to 1.79m TEU

HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), now a Cosco unit, increased its 2019 container throughput 3.8 per cent year on year to 6,954,142 TEU while fourth quarter volume increased 4.8 per cent to 1,798,610 TEU, the company said in stock exchange filing.

OOCL 2019 revenue increased 5.2 per cent to US$6.27 million while fourth quarter revenue was up 2.3 per cent year on year to $1.6 million.

Loadable capacity increased 2.6 per cent. Quarterly overall load factor was 1.8 per cent higher than the same period in 2018. Overall average revenue per TEU decreased by 2.4 per cent compared to the fourth quarter of last year.

Full year overall load factor was 0.1 per cent lower than the same period in 2018. Overall average revenue per TEU increased by 1.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.
