[EN-SEA] "OOCL" Launches Mobile Cargo Tracking

From February 1st, OOCL customers will be able to locate and track their shipments via mobile phone, anywhere, anytime.

OOCL's new Mobile Cargo Tracking service can be accessed by all major mobile systems and smartphones, including Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Symbian, iPhone and Android, as well as online at m.oocl.com

This is in addition to the Public Cargo Tracking system already available on oocl.com

The Mobile Cargo Tracking solution is the latest feature of the online interactive My OOCL Center platform, which was launched in March 2009 with the aim of reducing business costs and saving time.

OOCL will continue to upgrade and add new features to the platform throughout 2010.

As an extra value-added service, OOCL customers can also benefit from an additional feature, which displays their "China 24" (CN24) customs status in the Cargo Tracking result.

According to the China 24-hour Advance Manifest Regulation, the carrier must first submit the manifest for inbound cargo, and once received by China customs they can perform their customs declaration accordingly.

OOCL's CN24 customs status notification allows our customers to perform their customs declaration as soon as they receive the "Accepted" status. This status will also be shown in the Cargo Tracking results, both on oocl.com and m.oocl.com
