[070914.EN.SEA] Asia-Europe Loop 4 Diverts to Antwerp to Avoid Rotterdam Congestion

HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced a temporary shift from Rotterdam to Antwerp because of congestion in the Dutch port that will affect three sailing in Asia-Europe Loop 4 service.

"Due to the congestion situation at Rotterdam, we would like to inform you of the following schedule update for three sailings on the Asia-Europe Loop 4 service where the port of calls to Rotterdam will be shifted to Antwerp on a temporary basis," said the OOCL statement.

Affected will be the 9,082-TEU Basle Express 009W/009E, which sailed from Ningbo on August 2 and is expected in Antwerp on October 1.

Also affected will be the 13,300-TEU Hamburg Express 011W/011E, which sailed from Ningbo on September 1 and is to arrive in Antwerp on October 8.

Also affected will be the 13,208-TEU NYK Hermes 006W/006E, which is to sail from Ningbo on September 7 and arrive in Antwerp on October 14.

The current port rotation of Loop 4 is Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Yantian, Singapore, Le Havre, Southampton, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Jeddah, Singapore, Shenzhen-Yantian and back to Ningbo.
