[081114.EN.BIZ] NDRC Says China to Invest US$33 Billion on Seven New Railway Lines

CHINA's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has approved plans to spend CNY200 billion (US$32.7 billion) to build seven new railway lines, reports Shanghai Securities News.

The plans to build the new passenger railway lines were approved on Wednesday. This is the second time in as many weeks that China has signed off on new railway investment, noted Reuters.
